"Thank You"

The saddest part is forgetting
The feeling of what you want to remember
Laying in the sunshine-
And thinking it’s December.
But there are certain people
Who help you remember what to forget
Who with kind words cast away the clouds
Who send away sadness in burial shrouds
Friends like sunshine
That make the dark go away
Always reminding you “It’ll be ok.”

"Just Keep Fighting" by Shay-Renee

"Just Keep Fighting"

She said,
"I'm scared of the thoughts inside of my head.
They keep waking me up,
Telling me I should be dead."

I tell her,
"Darling don't worry, you have to stay strong.
Especially since you've been fighting this--
For so long.

She said,
"The voices keep coming, they won't let me go.
I keep pushing them away,
But how long can I say no."

I tell her,
"Darling, you're amazing, you can get through this.
I believe in you,
I know you can do this."

Green-eyed cutie,
With a hint of blue.
I don't know what it is--

I only hope that life will be--
