"Road to Recovery"
5 months cut free--
And I'm still going strong.
I had a few relapses--
But they didn't last long.
I got rid of the blades today,
I'm proud to say.
I know that a harm free life
Is the only way.
I want to say thank you
For believing in me.
It's because of you
That I'm on the road to recovery.
I'm going to fight my demons
And I promise to be better.
To write an apology letter.
And though there will be bad days--
And days that I'll be discouraged.
I know that I'm strong now
And I will fight against the urges.
So, look out world
I'm ready to live!
I have so much to offer now
And I'm ready to give.
