"Last Thing He Said"
"Yes," he said,
"I want to be dead."
And I asked, "Why?"
As I started to cry.
Than the girl you adore?
He said, "There's a hole you can't fill."
I said, "If you let me try, I will."
He said, "There's no way that you can."
I said, "But I'll figure out a plan--
You just can't leave me now."
And he asked, "How?"
He said, "There's just no way--
I can't live another day."
My heart has died,
As I continually cried.
"Yes," he said,
"I want to be dead"
He went to bed...
With a bullet in his head.
